Uncontested Divorce

Anytime there is a divorce there are two parties. One is called the Petitioner and the other is the Respondent. The Petitioner is the party filing for the divorce and the Respondent is the party who responds to the divorce.

In an “uncontested divorce” both parties have resolved all issues and must sign an agreement setting forth the division of their assets, responsibility for marital debts, and issues involving the children. Not all of the agreements reached by both parties may be acceptable to the court due to the law in the State of Florida.

Having an attorney sit down with you and explain your rights WILL be invaluable.
